We are sorry to disappoint but the jury’s still out on this! Tiffany & Co haven’t explicitly declared that the dress is made of diamonds. Our personal opinion tends toward skepticism. After all, if the whispers of a diamond dress held any truth, wouldn’t Tiffany & Co have come out and confirmed it already? Even a luxury house is allowed an occasional shouting from the rooftops. Tiffany & Co seem to have been quiet and intentionally vague, keeping us all guessing and gushing in delightful suspense.
Diamonds or no diamonds, credit must be given where it is due. The collaboration felt fresh and unique and became the talk of the town. We would never have expected Tiffany & Co to make a dress. (How fun must it be to be Beyoncé’s stylist. Nobody must say no to you, ever.) If the dress had been made of diamonds, who better than Beyoncé to wear it?
